Maurice Collard KC is an experienced and successful criminal defence lawyer who has aggressively defended some of the most high profile cases in Central Alberta and is a founding member of Advocate Law. He began his career as a criminal defence lawyer in Red Deer and then moved to the Crown Prosecutor’s Office as the youngest prosecutor. He became the longest-serving active Crown Prosecutor in Central Alberta.

Sydney Palmer is an associate lawyer who serves clients charged with criminal and quasi-criminal matters throughout Alberta. Sydney was born and raised in Killam, Alberta and graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2022. In 2023, she completed her articles and was called to the bar. She has worked in criminal defence throughout her legal education and career.

Michael Cheung earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in 2020. He later graduated from Thompson Rivers University, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2024. In law school, Michael worked for the TRU Community Legal Clinic and the Alberta Civil Liberties Centre, and helped run the TRU Professional Clothing Donation Society.
