Michelle McBeath

Student-at-Law

Michelle McBeath graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. Before law school, she worked for several years in the areas of homelessness prevention and employment, and training programs for individuals facing a variety of challenging circumstances, including those seeking housing and employment support after being incarcerated. This experience has helped her successfully defend disadvantaged individuals with compassion and without judgment.

Michelle has focused her education and training on sexual assault law which has been invaluable to Advocate Law. Her experience includes defending against police misconduct in the areas of impaired driving, search and seizure. As well, she has experience defending against a variety of assault charges, particularly in the area of domestic violence. Michelle has assisted in successfully arguing for bail, including a client charged with murder who had a criminal record with 64 prior convictions, 30 of which were for violence. This speaks to her strong advocacy skills and legal knowledge.

Michelle looks forward to continuing to demonstrate her passion for the law and her commitment to high-quality client care. Her strong legal knowledge and excellent client skills make Michelle a strong and successful advocate.

Michelle is based in our Red Deer office and is able to defend clients throughout Central Alberta.
