It was alleged the accused was involved in a shootout in a residential neighbourhood in Red Deer, where multiple people were shot and cars and houses had bullets lodged in them. With multiple Crown experts in forensics and ballistics, Mr. Collard was able to achieve a full acquittal at trial. Having a video, showing the alleged shooter and shooting, ruled inadmissible was a key part of this successful defence.
