Mr. G. was caught on video kidnapping a stranger in broad daylight at a bus stop and forcing her into a vehicle. It was alleged by the Crown the victim was taken to a rural area, confined, robbed, and sexually assaulted. Maurice did not disagree that these horrible actions occurred, but with the unusual defence of 'duress' used at trial by Maurice, Mr. G. was acquitted of all charges.
