Joshua Asp

Joshua Asp was a commercial pilot from 2000-2008 flying charters and providing flight training. Later on, he had graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Alberta in 2011. While in university for his Economics degree Joshua had earned the Academic and Alumni Award, the Academic Excellence Award, Louise McKinney Scholarship and the Jason Lang Scholarship. Joshua went on to graduate from the University of Alberta law program in 2015. While in law school Joshua was awarded the Susan Anderson Scholarship and the Silas E. Halyk Award for highest grades in the first year of criminal law.

Joshua completed his articles with Innocence Canada which is a non-profit corporation mandated to identify, advocate for and exonerate persons wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit. Since 1993 Innocence Canada's advocacy has lead to the exoneration of over 23 innocent people. 

A deep commitment to his clients has ensured that no stone is left unturned in preparing for his clients’ defences. Joshua believes that true justice can only be delivered with fierce advocacy.

Joshua is available to defend clients in the Wetaskiwin and Maskwacis area.
